How much is a pound of THCA? Market price bands by grade, Oct. 2026
A pound of THCA flower listed at about $160 to $1,600 at 15 online sellers on Oct. 2, 2026, and most of that range is grade. Commercial indoor pounds sat at $500 to $1,300, greenhouse and light-dep full buds at $300 to $900, and listed half pounds cost at least half the pound price.

Pound price bands by grade, 2026-10-02
The grid lists the pound (LB, 453.6 g) first, because that is how most bulk sellers price. The half-pound column is half the pound band: the lowest a half pound (HP, 226.8 g) can cost per gram. Real HP listings sit above it, as the next section shows.

Two patterns stand out. First, “from” figures on home pages are lower than the pound prices on the collection pages they lead to. Second, sale prices can sit a third to more than half under list on the same SKU. Compare the price you can actually check out at, on the date you check.
Half-pound prices against the pound
A half pound is half the weight but rarely half the price. Packing, labeling and the order call cost the seller the same at either size.

What moves one pound’s price inside a grade
- Bud size mix. A pound with a large share of buds under about 1.5 cm sells below one of mostly large buds, at the same grade.
- Total THC on the COA. Higher figures lift the price. Read total THC (0.877 × THCA + delta-9), not THCA alone.
- Lot age. Last season’s lots get marked down. Older lots also lose terpenes.
- Sale vs list. Frisco’s sale prices ran about a third to more than half under its own list prices, SKU by SKU.
- What the price includes. Shipping, adult-signature delivery and payment fees sit inside some pound prices and on top of others.
- Moisture. Water is sold as weight. A pound packed wet holds less dry flower. See Is my pound short?
Converting a pound price for comparison
- $/g = $/lb ÷ 453.6. A $900 pound is $1.98/g.
- $/oz = $/lb ÷ 16. A $900 pound is $56.25 per ounce of weight.
These conversions put a pound and a smaller bag on one scale. They do not make a pound and sixteen separate ounce bags the same purchase.
History: one dated benchmark
Hemp Benchmarks put the average wholesale THCA flower price at $922 per pound in May 2024, as reported by Green Market Report. That figure is more than two years old. The 2026 listings above run lower at the budget end, where sub-$400 smalls and mixlight pounds are now common.
The date every pound price runs to
As of 3 October 2026, the federal hemp definition tests delta-9 THC alone, at no more than 0.3% on a dry-weight basis (7 U.S.C. 1639o). From 2026-12-11 (P.L. 119-37 §781; date set by H.R. 6500) the test becomes total THC, THCA included (CRS IF13136; H.R. 6500, Sec. 2019). THCA flower in every grade above is sold well over 0.3% total THC. State law is separate, and many states already close the hemp-retail lane for THCA flower.
So every pound price here is a price for flower with a fixed federal end date. This page does not forecast where prices go before it.
How to use these bands
- Find the grade of the pound you are looking at.
- Place its price in the band. A price far under the band’s low end deserves a look at grade, size mix and the COA.

On Oct. 2, 2026, 15 online sellers listed a pound of THCA flower at about $160 for budget smalls up to $1,600 for exotic indoor, with one seller higher. Commercial indoor pounds sat at $500 to $1,300, and greenhouse or light-dep full buds at $300 to $900. Shake and trim pounds ran $100 to $450.
How much is a half pound of THCA?
Half the pound price is the floor, and listed half pounds usually sit above it. One seller's public grid on Oct. 2, 2026 showed half pounds at $250 to $675 against pounds at $500 to $1,300. Another showed $200 to $700 against $350 to $1,200.
Why do THCA pound prices vary so much?
Grade explains most of the spread: indoor costs more to grow than greenhouse or light-dep, and smalls and shake sell below full buds. Inside one grade, bud size, lot age, sale versus list price and what the price includes (shipping, adult-signature delivery) move it further.
Are THCA pound prices going to change after December 11, 2026?
From Dec. 11, 2026 the federal hemp test counts THCA as part of total THC, so flower above 0.3% total THC stops being hemp under federal law. These pound prices describe a market with a fixed end date. Nobody can say where prices go before then.
